  • Information

On December 6, an article titled "SNBL Head Office Investigated" was published in the morning section of the Minami Japan Shimbun, and a news report titled "Labor Standards Office InvestigatesSNBL " was broadcast on KTS Kagoshima Broadcasting's daytime program.

Regarding the incident where a technician engaged in animal experiments at our Safety Research Institute (Kagoshima) was infected with the B virus (hereinafter referred to as BV), we have already undergone on-site inspections by the Tuberculosis and Infectious Diseases Division of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, and the Kagoshima City Health Center on November 21 and 22. At that time, it was explained and understood that strict infection prevention measures were in place at our monkey experiment facility. Additionally, on December 5, we underwent an inspection by the Kagoshima Labor Standards Inspection Office, and it was confirmed that there were no issues with occupational health management or labor management. Moving forward, our company will further strengthen the management system of the monkey experiment facility based on this incident, and we will make every effort to prevent recurrence in cooperation with administrative agencies. We kindly ask for your understanding and support.
