From San Francisco to Kagoshima

I am from the suburbs of San Francisco, living in the United States, and studying at Seattle University. I metSNBL at the Boston Career Forum in 2017. Currently, I am working at the Safety Research Institute in Kagoshima, where my main duties are to edit and translate documents in English, and to respond to visitors from overseas.

The Charm and Lifestyle of Kagoshima

Although there is a loneliness in living apart from my family who live in America, I now enjoy life in Kagoshima. Above all, there is an environment here that enriches my private life. There is abundant nature everywhere, allowing me to enjoy hiking, hot spring tours, camping, and marine sports, and on top of that, the food is simply delicious. Be careful not to overeat when you come to Kagoshima.
Geographically, Kagoshima is located at the southernmost tip of the Japanese archipelago, but so far, I have never found the distance to be inconvenient. In terms of time, it's only about 1 hour by plane to Itami or Kansai Airport, about 1.5 hours to Tokyo, and less than 1.5 hours to Fukuoka by Shinkansen.

However, perhaps the most supportive thing is thatSNBL cares about its employees. There are many events and club activities within the company that deepen friendships among employees, and I was able to make irreplaceable memories with my colleagues at softball tournaments and Christmas parties. In addition, volunteers enjoy dressing up in costumes at the company's Halloween party, and I think it is a company with deep pockets.
Furthermore, I am grateful that I can easily take paid leave even in my first year of employment. Whether it's visiting Osaka to see my peers and friends, going to Sendai to meet my grandparents, or returning to the suburbs of San Francisco to see my family... Even amidst busy days, I can go see the people I want to see when I want to, without being consumed by work. This creates a sense of ease in my heart, allowing me to lead a healthy life without feeling stressed.
