Growth and Challenges as a Test Manager

As a trainee test manager responsible for the overall management of tests, I am working while receiving various guidance from my seniors. To work as a test manager, there is an internal test that you need to pass. Initially, I struggled a lot to understand the rules that must be followed for conducting tests, such as regulations (GLP: Good Laboratory Practice) and guidelines. Currently, as a test manager, I am mainly in charge of tests using viruses and bacteria. Additionally, by being responsible for operations at test sites other than my own, I am able to study various tests from multiple perspectives.

Learning at XUP Activities and Nagata Juku

From the first year of joining the company, I have been learning the business skills necessary for working professionals through XUP activities. Additionally, at Nagata Juku, I learn the mindset of business leaders directly from the president.
In XUP activities, we think about the ideal state of the company as a team and carry out Kaizen activities to achieve that ideal state. By serving as the team leader, I was able to learn leadership skills to guide the team towards achieving goals and communication skills to gain cooperation from internal stakeholders. In actual activities, I planned a "shuffle lunch" where people who don't usually talk much within the company could have lunch together, and it was well-received by participants as it provided a new opportunity for communication. I believe that experiencing this series of processes, such as planning and action, is very useful in actual work.

Training to Foster an Entrepreneurial Mindset and Future Prospects

At Nagata Juku, you can regularly receive training from the president for a year, and by living and eating together with the president during training camps, you can directly experience the mindset and behavior of a business leader. Additionally, being able to read over 100 books in this year has become a source of confidence for me.
In order to be an entity that thrives globally and leads the world, I believe it is necessary to become a person who is not only a top-notch specialist but also a top-notch generalist, capable of immediately responding to any challenge. I would like to continue growing while cooperating with my colleagues in the company.
