Pathology attraction andSNBL selection

During my university days, I was fascinated by pathology, which allows us to understand changes at the cellular level, and I pursued job hunting with the desire to continue in pathology. The reason I decided to join this company among many others is that it is a top company in the industry for pharmaceutical development contracting, and I can utilize my veterinary qualifications in my work. There is no other place with such a large collection of pathological specimens. Since my university was in Aomori, one of the reasons I decided to join was that I wanted to live in warm Kagoshima. After actually living here, I found that perhaps because it is a southern region, there are many warm-hearted people, and I was able to fit in quickly. I feel it is a very livable city.

Aiming to become a trusted pathologist

My goal is to become a trusted pathologist. To achieve this, I aim to present at conferences and write papers, obtain qualifications from the Japanese College of Veterinary Pathologists (JCVP) and the Japanese Society of Toxicologic Pathology (JSTP), and become a pathologist.
At the 35th Annual Meeting and Scientific Conference of the Japanese Society of Toxicologic Pathology, I received the Best Case Award for my poster presentation (awarded to outstanding case presentations selected from the President's Award candidates by researchers under forty). I intend to continue striving to get closer to my goals as quickly and surely as possible.

Growth and learning through XUP activities

SNBL conducts XUP activities for employees who have been with the company for up to three years. This is an educational system that enables young employees to think and act on their own, and to improve their ability to report and write documents, which are the minimum skills required as a member of society. In fiscal 2017, I also supported new graduate recruitment activities, and in fiscal 2018, I worked on the theme of kaizen for kaizen activities. There, I learned that even our small actions can move a company organization, and I learned the importance of acting independently.
I think SNBL is a company with a well-developed system for new employee training and young employee education. I also feel the joy of working with senior employees whom I respect. I would like to challenge myself to achieve my goals so that I can get closer to the existence I admire as soon as possible.
