Innovative test design and team cooperation
Currently, as a test manager, I am responsible for the pharmacokinetics aspects of tests required for drug applications and screening tests for drug candidates. Although the tests required for applications are determined by guidelines, it is not always acceptable to have the same test content. It is necessary to devise test designs based on the client's requests and the characteristics of the compounds. There are times when I feel pressured to meet the client's requests or submit data within the deadline, and I may feel down when I fail, but tests are not completed by the test manager alone. They are carried out in collaboration with various people, such as experimenters, data checkers, and final report checkers, helping each other along the way. No matter how difficult the test, once it's over, I am filled with gratitude towards those who helped advance the test, which becomes the driving force to say, 'Let's do our best next time too.' My colleagues are my motivation and the biggest reason I love my company.
Support for balancing work and childcare
When I took maternity leave, my boss kindly sent me off, saying, 'Come back healthy in a year.' Also, while my child was attending daycare, I was transferred from test manager duties to tasks that did not require business trips. I am grateful that my preferences regarding work style were accommodated. Thanks to this, I have been able to continue working while raising two children. Even when I cannot go to work due to my children's circumstances, I have an environment where I can access the company's computer from home and work. Even if I have to take a few days off because my child has an infectious disease like influenza, my work does not come to a halt, which is a great help. I also appreciate the company atmosphere that makes it easy to take leave.
Growth in work and promotion of external activities
Before taking maternity leave, I had opportunities to participate in and present at conferences. Since changing my job duties, I have been away from those opportunities for a while, but I hope to increase my external activities in the future. I want to work diligently to fulfill my responsibilities in my assigned tasks so that our company can further develop as a pharmaceutical development contract organization.
Not only is drug development a rewarding job, but you can also be assured of the excellence of the people you work with. I would be happy if everyone who is looking for a job could feel the atmosphere ofSNBL even a little.
