Since our founding in 1957, we have been developing our business with the mission of "supporting the advancement of drug discovery and medical technology to free humanity from suffering." In the pharmaceutical development contract (CRO) business, we have steadily increased our customer base, building on the solid trust we have established over the years, with our non-clinical business boasting the largest scale in Japan. In the clinical business, our joint venture with PPD has been experiencing rapid growth. Additionally, in the translational research (TR) business, which we launched as a new initiative in 1997, we have established a nasal drug delivery platform technology and successfully developed the groundbreaking "Nose to Brain" technology, advancing the development of treatments for various diseases using these technologies. In the Medipolis business, which began in 2005, we bring hope to cancer patients through the Medipolis International Proton Therapy Center located on a vast site, while also engaging in geothermal power generation, aquaculture, and hotel businesses, contributing to environmental conservation and the wellbeing of people. The presence of capable human resources who can respond appropriately and swiftly is indispensable to the background of these rapidly expanding businesses.

SNBL is looking for researchers who are proactive, self-reliant, aware of the latest science, and willing to work globally.
As Japan's first pharmaceutical contract research organization (CRO), we have a history of over 60 years and are the largest in Japan. Our client base includes not only domestic pharmaceutical companies, but also companies in East Asia, Europe and the United States. We are widely recognized by overseas clients as a CRO that provides high-quality services, and the current ratio of sales to overseas clients is expected to continue to increase and exceed 50% in the future. With the exception of initial research, most research and development in drug discovery is conducted by CROs, and pharmaceutical companies are now in a situation where research and development is difficult without the cooperation of CROs. SNBL is the number one company in Japan and a good partner for overseas clients.
Furthermore, our company is engaged in the translational research business, where we develop proprietary drug discovery platform technologies, and we are also involved in more fundamental research and development.

At the time, I was struggling to balance work and childcare, so the thoughts of the top management touched my heart and strengthened my feeling that "I might be able to do it too." Now, the female employee ratio is over 50%, the female hiring ratio is about 60%, the female manager ratio is over 25%, almost 100% of employees return to work after maternity leave and childcare leave, and it is completely natural for people to continue working and building their careers after marriage and childbirth.
