Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Policy/Basic Approach

CEO Message

SNBL has a corporate philosophy of "continuing to be a company that values the environment, life, and human resources."
SNBL The Code of Conduct for members of theSNBL Group is set forth in the Compliance Code of Conduct (effective June 2004). This Code of Conduct clearly stipulates that "we will not discriminate against people on the basis of gender, age, educational background, property, race, ethnicity, language, nationality, place of origin, appearance, physical or intellectual handicap, religious or political beliefs, ideological beliefs, etc., but will respect the personality of others and cooperate with each other through mutual understanding."
First, in 2007, we established an 'on-site daycare center' and subsequently implemented a subsidy system for early return support, creating an environment where women can work with peace of mind. At the same time, we standardized health checkups for all employees by adding unique examination items. In 2011, we established a special subsidiary, 'Fureai-Sasaeai Co., Ltd.' (the first in Kagoshima Prefecture), aimed at promoting the employment of people with disabilities, fostering the acceptance of diversity, and creating an environment where all employees can maintain a work-life balance.
In our company, diversity, equity, and inclusion mean not only having diversity in attributes such as race, religion, disability, gender, and age, but also respecting and understanding each other from second-person and third-person perspectives. We are building an organization where each individual's strengths are utilized, weaknesses are complemented, and gratitude is shared. As a result, this leads to continuous innovation, promotes sustainable management, and fulfills our responsibility to society.
With our unique slogan, 'I am happy, you are happy, everyone is happy' (trademarked), we aim to be a company where all employees can shine more vibrantly and grow individually. Hoping to expand the circle of women's success among many companies in Kagoshima Prefecture, where we were founded, we actively share information externally by holding case study seminars throughout the prefecture.

Policy on Human Resource Management

Goals and Results

Goals (Action Plan: Formulated in 2023)

We aim to build a gender-equal organization. As part of this, we are enhancing training for managerial positions regardless of gender and creating an organizational environment where employees can be aware of management roles from an early stage. Additionally, we are promoting the appointment of women to managerial positions, aiming to increase the proportion of female managers to over 30% by March 2029.
To promote understanding that a workplace where women thrive leads to business success, we conduct training for all employees upon joining the company. As an initiative to increase female managers, we strategically create a talent pool by identifying potential managerial candidates early within the company, with a view to their future appointment. Additionally, when it comes to promotions and appointments, we appropriately address employees whose work may be temporarily restricted due to life events, ensuring they are not disadvantaged by these factors, and respond according to their abilities.
